Seven Decades of Carpentry
The story of Dřevotvar began in 1951, when seventeen small-scale artisans in Jablonné nad Orlicí pooled their skills and enthusiasm. What began as a bold vision of local masters now represents genuine Czech quality on five continents.
Over the past decades, Dřevotvar has transformed into a modern and technologically advanced company that has never lost its respect for its roots. We are proud bearers of the “Czech Furniture Manufacturing” label and are currently among Europe’s leading manufacturers of wooden kitchen utensils. Our cooking spoons, mills, and cutting boards bring life to kitchens around the world—more than 80% of our production is exported, primarily to the demanding markets of Western Europe.

We hold prestigious ISO and FSC® certifications, which guarantee not only precision in craftsmanship but also an environmentally responsible approach to natural resources. Thanks to its high-quality workmanship, Dřevotvar began exporting its products to Western Europe, where it became a recognized supplier.

Commitment to Nature
Obtaining the prestigious FSC® certification. As one of the first companies in the Czech Republic, we have officially confirmed our environmentally responsible approach to forests and sustainable management of natural resources.
2005
Quality Standardization
Implementation of the ISO 9001 quality management system. We have implemented strict quality control processes that guarantee the highest quality of every produced piece leaving our workshop.
2022
A Design Triumph
"Furniture of the Year" Award for the TRIANGLE table. The combination of tradition and modern design earned our side table the top prize in a prestigious industry poll.

We believe that traditional craftsmanship has a future in our region only if we actively invest in the next generation. That is why we work closely with vocational schools and apprenticeship programs. Our master cabinetmakers pass on their lifetime of experience to young talents right here in our workshops. This symbiosis of tradition and fresh enthusiasm is key to ensuring that the art of cabinetmaking in Jablonné remains world-class for decades to come.

Through modernization projects (such as OPTAK), we are constantly improving our production technologies to make them more environmentally friendly and to enhance the comfort of our employees.
